The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% in Morocco: the Exfoliating Toner, How to Use It
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner in Morocco, 240 ml at 250 MAD: what the AHA does, who it is for, evening use, sunscreen, FAQ.

It is one of The Ordinary's most requested products, and it is now at MYF: the Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner, a daily exfoliating toner in a 240 ml bottle at 250 MAD. Its active: 7% glycolic acid, the benchmark AHA.
This guide covers what an AHA toner does, who it is for (and who it is not for), how to use it, why sunscreen is non-negotiable under the Moroccan sun, and how to fit it into a routine.
What a glycolic acid toner does
Glycolic acid is an AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid): a chemical exfoliant. Applied to the skin, it smooths skin texture, evens tone and boosts radiance. That is what the product page states, and it is all we expect from it here.
The toner is not just acid. The formula adds:
- a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative, which soothes the irritation that can come with exfoliation;
- amino acids, aloe vera water and ginseng extract, which support hydration;
- a pH of about 3.6, which balances efficacy and comfort.
The ingredient list also includes Damask rose water, glycerin and urea.
Who it is for, and who it is not
It is for you if your skin lacks radiance, feels uneven to the touch, or your complexion looks dull and uneven. It is listed as unisex: men and women, same routine.
It is not for you if your skin is sensitive, peeling or compromised. The product page is clear: do not use this toner in those cases. Also avoid the eye contour.
Patch test first
Before first use, test on a small area of skin. If you notice redness or irritation, stop. If a skin problem persists, see a dermatologist.
How to use it
On face and neck: once a day, ideally in the evening.
- Clean, dry face.
- Soak a cotton pad, or use your fingertips, and sweep over face and neck.
- Avoid the eye contour.
- Follow with your usual evening care.
On the scalp: three times a week. The toner can also go on a dry scalp to reduce dryness:
- Dry scalp.
- Apply from front to back.
- Massage in.
- Do not rinse.
Sunscreen is a must
The product contains an AHA: the product page calls for sunscreen during the day, without exception. In Morocco, where the sun is strong for much of the year, this is the point not to skip. It is also one of the reasons to apply it in the evening.
The next-morning reflex
Every morning after a toner evening, sunscreen on face and neck before heading out, and reapply if you stay outdoors.
Fitting it into a routine
Keep the logic simple: one exfoliant per evening, and nothing else harsh on top.
- Morning: cleanse, care, sunscreen. Arencia's Vitamin C Booster Shot (30 ml, 260 MAD), a face and eye cream with 5% vitamin C, belongs here, under the sunscreen.
- Evening: the glycolic toner on clean, dry skin, then your usual care.
The Arencia product page advises against layering it with an exfoliant, so keep each product to its own time of day. To see how the whole shelf fits together, head to toe, read our complete care routine.
