Five reinforced versions just landed in the catalogue. We wore each one next to its original. Verdict, one by one.

The simplest case of the five: the Intense is deeper and cheaper. Bourbon vanilla in the base replaces the musky lightness of the original and extends the sillage by several hours. Classic Paradoxe stays airier, more of an office scent; the Intense is the one people notice.

Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense vs Flora

The original has a known flaw: it disappears. A gorgeous gardenia for two hours, then very little. The Intense (1,650 MAD vs 1,450 MAD) adds hedione to the heart — that creamy, sunlit whiteness — and, more importantly, a sandalwood base that finally pins the flower to your skin.

These aren't two different fragrances: it's the same one, lasting all day. The 200 MAD gap is easy to justify.

Valentino Born in Roma Donna Extradose vs Donna

Here the register changes completely. The original is a fairly well-behaved vanilla floral. The Extradose (1,490 MAD vs 1,600 MAD) builds its heart on a rum accord and jasmine sambac, and its base on an extra dose of Bourbon vanilla. The result leans liqueur-gourmand: addictive, but clearly less versatile.

Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême

The only one here where the original is no longer the point: the Eau Extrême has become the benchmark of the line. Mandarin, mint, cypress and sage on top, pepper in the heart, then tonka bean, sandalwood and cedar. A mineral freshness that turns woody and clean after an hour.

It's one of the rare fragrances you can wear to the gym and into a meeting without switching bottles. The 150ml at 1,800 MAD is notably cheaper per millilitre if you already know you love it.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Florabloom Forte

Same logic as Gucci Flora: Aqua Allegoria built its reputation on freshness and lost customers on longevity. The Forte keeps the almond-mandarin-mango opening but doubles the tuberose (pomade and absolute) and lays down a sandalwood-moss-coconut base that changes everything.
