Oily Skin Routine in Morocco: Niacinamide and Sebiaclear
Oily, blemish-prone skin routine in Morocco: SVR Sebiaclear (210 MAD) and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (170 MAD), morning and night, cautions.

Skin that shines by noon, visible pores, blemishes that keep coming back: in the Moroccan heat, it is a very common profile. The good news is that an effective routine does not need ten products. Two are enough to set the base: the SVR Sebiaclear Foaming Gel (400 ml, 210 MAD) and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum (30 ml, 170 MAD).
This guide explains what each one does, how to layer them morning and night, where an exfoliant like The Ordinary's glycolic toner fits, and which combinations to avoid.
Step 1: a soap-free cleanser, SVR Sebiaclear Foaming Gel
Oily skin needs cleaning, not stripping. SVR's Sebiaclear Foaming Gel is a soap-free cleanser for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Its actives:
- gluconolactone and salicylic acid, which unclog pores and remove impurities and excess sebum;
- without drying: the product page promises skin that feels clean, fresh and matte.
It works on face and body, it is alcohol-free, colourant-free and paraben-free, and the 400 ml pump bottle lasts a long time.
How to use: on wet skin, lather two pumps, massage over face and/or body avoiding the eye area, then rinse thoroughly, morning and/or evening.
Step 2: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum
This is The Ordinary's best-selling serum for blemish-prone skin. Its short formula combines:
- 10% niacinamide (vitamin B3);
- 1% zinc PCA.
According to the product page, together they regulate excess sebum, visibly reduce pores, smooth skin texture and brighten a dull complexion, while strengthening the moisture barrier. The texture is light and water-based, non-comedogenic, alcohol-free, oil-free, silicone-free, and vegan. It suits all skin types.
How to use: after cleansing, apply a few drops to the face, morning and evening, before heavier creams.
Niacinamide and vitamin C: not in the same routine
The serum's product page is explicit: do not combine it with vitamin C in the same routine. If you use a vitamin C product, such as Arencia's Vitamin C Booster Shot, keep it for the morning and use niacinamide in the evening only. A patch test is also advised before first use.
The oily skin routine, morning and evening
Morning
- Sebiaclear: two pumps on wet skin, then rinse.
- Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: a few drops.
- A light moisturiser, if your skin asks for it.
- Sunscreen, essential under the Moroccan sun.
Evening
- Sebiaclear, as in the morning.
- Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%.
- Your usual cream.
If you wear makeup or a long-wear sunscreen, a first oil cleanse in the evening lifts them better: that is the idea behind double cleansing with SKIN1004 Centella.
What about The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% toner?
To go further on texture and radiance, the Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (240 ml, 250 MAD) can be added in the evening, after cleansing and before the serum. The niacinamide product page only rules out vitamin C, so the toner and the serum can share the evening routine.
Three cautions, from its product page:
- not on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin, and never on the eye contour;
- once a day at most, ideally in the evening;
- sunscreen is mandatory the next day, since it contains an AHA.
Sebiaclear also contains salicylic acid and gluconolactone. To avoid overloading your skin, introduce one product at a time, start the toner a few evenings a week and space it out if your skin feels tight or turns red.

Mistakes that make oily skin worse
- Stripping the skin with harsh cleansers or several washes a day: a gentle cleanser, morning and evening, is enough.
- Skipping moisturiser: oily skin needs a cream too, just a lighter one.
- Stacking actives from day one: one new product at a time.
- Forgetting sunscreen, especially with an exfoliant in the routine.
- Picking at blemishes, which leaves marks.
When to see a dermatologist
Inflamed, painful or widespread acne, or acne that scars, needs a dermatologist. These products support oily skin day to day; they do not replace treatment.
