Fragrance Dupes in Morocco: Maison Asrar & Gulf Orchid from 400 MAD
Wadi, Cascade and Mango Ice: three Arabian fragrances inspired by niche and designer hits, all under 450 MAD. Notes, performance and who they are for.

Spending 1,500 MAD on a bottle isn't always possible — or necessary. Gulf houses have made a speciality of compositions inspired by big niche and designer hits, with serious raw materials and often surprising performance. Here are three of them, all under 450 MAD.
What exactly is a dupe?
A dupe (or "inspired by") is an original fragrance, made by an independent house, that follows the olfactory direction of a well-known composition. It is neither a counterfeit nor the same juice: the bottle, the name and the brand are different, and it gets close without being identical.
What to expect
A good dupe nails the opening and the overall idea. The gap with the original shows up in the dry-down, two or three hours in. At 400 MAD instead of 1,500 MAD, that trade-off is easy to accept.
Wadi — the creamy tropical one
Juicy pineapple, coconut, clary sage and lavender over tonka bean and vanilla: Wadi plays exactly the same score as Le Beau Paradise Garden by Jean Paul Gaultier. Same sunny trail, same luxury-sunscreen vibe, same compliment magnet in summer.

Wadi 100ML
Pineapple, coconut and vanilla — the gourmand tropical that turns heads, at 420 MAD.
Want to compare them side by side? We carry the original too — and it comes in a 10ml decant if you'd rather test before investing.
Mango Ice — the niche mango
Ripe mango, lemon, ginger and rhubarb up top, then a vanilla-caramel-musk base: Mango Ice follows God of Fire by Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 very closely — one of the most copied mangoes around right now. The Gulf Orchid version is a touch sweeter and a touch less woody, at a fraction of the price.

Mango Ice 100ML
Iced mango, caramel and vanilla — a sunny fruity scent that everyone likes.
Cascade — the everyday blue aquatic
Cascade is the most versatile of the three: melon, lemon and ginger, a marine heart of lavender and apple, an ambery-woody base. This sits in the aromatic blue family, in the Percival (Parfums de Marly) lane with a sweet-fresh touch reminiscent of Wanted Tonic. It isn't a strict clone of one single scent — more a very well executed summary of the genre.

Cascade 100ML
Fresh, clean, projects hard — the office and everyday fragrance par excellence.
Which one should you pick?
- Wadi if you like sweet, sunny scents and compliments.
- Mango Ice for a unisex fruity that works day and night.
- Cascade if you want an easy fresh scent for everyday wear.
All three come in 100ml, full bottle only — at this price a decant makes little sense. 100% genuine products from their respective houses, delivered anywhere in Morocco.
