Marvis vs Euthymol Toothpaste in Morocco: Which One to Buy?
Marvis Whitening Mint at 185 MAD or Euthymol Original at 75 MAD: taste, formula, price per ml and who each suits. Two premium toothpastes, delivered in Morocco.

A 185 MAD toothpaste raises eyebrows. But Marvis and Euthymol are not gimmicks: they are two old brands, each with a taste you won't mistake for anything else.
At MYF we carry one of each: Marvis Whitening Mint and Euthymol Original. They have almost nothing in common, which is exactly what makes the choice easy. Here is how to decide.
Two houses, two histories
Marvis is Italian. The brand was born in 1958, founded by Franco Cella di Rivara, and is based today in Florence, owned by Ludovico Martelli S.p.A. Its identity rests as much on the object as on the taste: the famous silver apothecary tube.
Euthymol is British, and much older. The toothpaste has been sold since 1898, launched by Parke, Davis & Company, with London as its home. The brand now belongs to LG Household & Health Care. More than a century on, you still recognise it by its colour: a pink paste.

Marvis Whitening Mint: mint in a silver tube
Taste first, since that is what Marvis is known for. Whitening Mint is a crisp, almost peppery white mint: not the sweet bubble-gum of supermarket pastes, but a clean freshness with a bit of bite.
The formula is built on fluoride and xylitol. According to the product description, it lifts plaque and brings back the enamel's natural whiteness without scratching it. In other words, this is about restoring your teeth's natural brightness, not bleaching them past their original shade. Real whitening is a job for a dentist, not a tube.
The paste is concentrated: a pea-sized amount is enough, two minutes of brushing morning and night. So the 85 ml tube lasts longer than you'd think.
The tube you leave out
Marvis has an advantage that is rare for a toothpaste: you don't want to hide it in the cabinet. The silver apothecary tube is precisely what the Florentine house built its reputation on. On a bathroom shelf, next to a perfume bottle, it looks like something chosen.
That also makes it a credible small gift: in a travel kit, a bathroom basket or alongside a fragrance. For more ideas in the same spirit, see our gift ideas guide.
To give as a gift
Pair a Marvis with a Victoria's Secret body mist or a perfume decant: a polished "bathroom" gift that stays under 500 MAD.
Euthymol Original: the taste that divides
Euthymol is the opposite of instant charm. The pink paste is built on antiseptic thymol and menthol, with a frankly medicinal taste, nothing like a sweet mint. The first brush is a surprise. After that, people usually either hate it or adopt it.
What the description focuses on is the after-feel: a clean mouth that lasts. That is what draws people who find regular toothpastes too mild or too sweet.
One important point: the formula is fluoride-free. Some people look for exactly that; others will prefer a fluoride toothpaste. If you are unsure what suits you (frequent cavities, children, ongoing dental treatment), ask your dentist.
As with Marvis, a pea-sized amount is enough, and the taste is strong. Two minutes, morning and night, then spit out without swallowing.
Cheapest per ml
At 75 MAD for 75 ml, Euthymol works out to 1 MAD per ml, against about 2.18 MAD for Marvis. It is the cheapest way to switch to a toothpaste with real character.
Which one is for you?
Choose Marvis Whitening Mint if:
- you like mint, but sharper and drier than average;
- you want a fluoride and xylitol formula;
- the object matters to you, or you are looking for a small gift.
Choose Euthymol Original if:
- you find regular toothpastes bland or too sweet;
- you want a sharp, lasting clean feeling;
- you prefer a fluoride-free formula;
- you want a premium toothpaste without spending more than 75 MAD.
Can't decide? Both together come to 260 MAD. Nothing stops you alternating: Marvis in the morning, Euthymol at night, or one at home and the other in the gym bag.
FAQ
Does Marvis really whiten teeth? The description talks about lifting plaque and bringing back the enamel's natural whiteness without scratching it. It is a toothpaste for keeping your natural brightness, not a whitening treatment: your teeth won't get lighter than their natural shade.
Why does Euthymol taste so unusual? Because of thymol, an antiseptic compound, paired with menthol. That gives it its medicinal taste, and it is its signature: the paste has been sold since 1898.
Are these genuine products? Yes. Like everything in the MYF catalog, they are 100% original, with cash on delivery across Morocco.
