Victoria's Secret Gift Sets in Morocco: which duo to give?

A Victoria's Secret set is the gift you can't get wrong on size or concentration: a body lotion, a mist in the same scent, and a name people recognise. At MYF there are two kinds of duo, and the difference matters when you choose.

• The 430 MAD duos pair a mist and a lotion that are also sold individually. Nine scents, and you pay 30 MAD less than buying the two products separately.

The 430 MAD duos: the saving adds up

Each duo contains the 250 ml fragrance mist (230 MAD alone) and the 236 ml fragrance lotion (230 MAD alone). Buying both separately comes to 460 MAD; the duo is 430 MAD. The saving is modest, 30 MAD, but it is real, and both products arrive together.

The mist is infused with aloe vera and chamomile, the lotion with aloe vera, oat and vitamin E. The idea of the duo: the lotion hydrates the skin and holds the scent, the mist goes on top, and the fragrance stays with you longer than the mist alone.

The 490 MAD sets: scents you only get in a box

These four Victoria's Secret sets are sealed. Their products aren't sold on their own at MYF, so there is no individual price to compare against: the set is the only way to get these scents. The sizes also differ from the 430 MAD duos — the lotion is 296 ml, the mist 236 ml.

• Coconut Milk Rose ("feel calm") — 236 ml hair & body mist infused with coconut water, 296 ml body lotion with coconut oil. A gourmand floral: creamy coconut milk wrapped around a soft rose.
• Blue Jasmine Water Lily ("feel refreshed") — 236 ml hair & body mist and 296 ml lotion, both with aloe vera. An aquatic floral, blue jasmine and water lily, fresh and bright.

Beyond Victoria's Secret: Bath & Body Works and Rituals

Into the Night Duo (Bath & Body Works, 400 MAD) — the 226 g Ultimate Hydration body cream, with shea butter and hyaluronic acid, and the 236 ml body & hair fragrance mist. It's the darkest scent in this selection: black raspberry and rose petals, then creamy patchouli, amber crystals and mocha musk. An evening gift, for someone who finds the VS mists too tame.

The Ritual of Ayurveda XS Gift Set (Rituals, 300 MAD) — a different register: no mist, but three body-care products in discovery sizes. 50 ml foaming shower gel, 125 g body scrub and 70 ml body cream, scented with Indian rose and sweet almond oil. It's the cheapest gift in this guide, and the one that speaks of a bath ritual rather than a fragrance.
