Affordable Arabian perfumes in Morocco: 10 decants from 60 MAD

A good fragrance for 60 MAD does exist — as long as you buy the right format and look towards the Gulf. Houses from Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait now make some of the most-worn fragrances in Morocco, and every one of their 10ml decants below sits at 100 MAD or less.

We went through the catalogue: ten authentic references, decants from 60 to 100 MAD, full bottles from 400 to 900 MAD. Sorted by use, not by brand.

Why these cost less

It's the question that comes with every order, and it's a fair one. An Arabian fragrance at 550 MAD a bottle is neither a counterfeit nor old stock. It is an original fragrance, in its original bottle, made by an established Gulf house.

The price gap with a European designer fragrance comes from elsewhere:

  • No global campaign. No Hollywood face, no Christmas TV spot, no flagship windows in Paris. A large share of what you pay for a luxury fragrance is exactly that.
  • A volume market. Fragrance is part of everyday life in the Gulf, and these houses sell enormous quantities at home, which pulls their prices down.
  • Familiar profiles. Some references follow scent directions that are already popular rather than funding a creation from scratch. We cover that openly in our piece on Maison Asrar and Gulf Orchid.

What it doesn't mean: cut-price quality. Club de Nuit Intense is rated Beast for performance in our catalogue — the top rating.

What exactly is a decant?

A decant is 10ml taken from an original bottle and transferred into a travel sprayer. Same juice, test size. Everything is explained in our 10ml decant guide.

Fresh and fruity: for summer, the office, the heat

The biggest group, and the one that gets the most use in Morocco from May to October.

Club de Nuit Intense (Armaf, 2015) is the one everybody knows, and the cheapest decant on this list at 60 MAD. Pineapple, bergamot, blackcurrant and apple on top, birch, jasmine and rose in the heart, musk, ambergris, vanilla and patchouli in the base. The birch gives it a smoky edge that sets it apart from a plain fruity scent. It's the only fragrance here rated Beast: one or two sprays are plenty.

Théorème Matrix (Rue Broca, 2024) and Supremacy Collector's Edition (Afnan, 2024) sit in the same pineapple-bergamot family. Théorème Matrix adds grapefruit, lavender and a touch of saffron over an oakmoss base — and it's also the cheapest bottle in the table, at 400 MAD. Supremacy goes through orange blossom and birch before a base of oakmoss, musk and ambergris; dressier, it's cut out for the office and formal occasions. Worth knowing: Rue Broca belongs to the same group as Afnan.

Hawas Ice (Rasasi, 2023) is the most refreshing: apple, lemon, bergamot and star anise, then plum, orange blossom and cardamom, over musk, amber and driftwood. Ideal for the gym and 35-degree afternoons.

Hawas Tropical (Rasasi, 2025) opens on coconut water, fig leaf and ginger, with a heart of coconut, fig and mint and a base of sandalwood and tonka bean. Sunnier and more "holiday" than the Ice. If you want more options for the season, our men's summer fragrance picks go further.

Ice or Tropical?

Ice for the gym and the office: it's the cleaner of the two. Tropical for the beach, weekends in Agadir or Essaouira, and anyone who loves coconut. At 70 MAD each, buying both still costs less than a single designer decant.

Sweet and evening: the two 9PMs

Two fragrances that share a name but not a house: Afnan makes Night Out, Armaf makes Rebel.

9PM Night Out (Afnan, 2026) is the newest and richest fragrance in this selection — it's an extrait de parfum. Dragon fruit, bergamot, cognac, lavender and apple on the opening, cardamom, suede, toffee and cedar in the heart, tonka bean, akigalawood, ambrofix and patchouli in the base. Unisex, warm, built for nights out, dinners and wedding parties.

9PM Rebel (Armaf, 2022) is simpler and fresher: apple, lemon and pink pepper, then cedar, orris and jasmine, over vanilla, oakmoss and patchouli. The 9PM you can wear in daytime without smelling like you're heading to a club at 10am.

Tobacco and spicy woods

For anyone who finds the fresh ones too polite.

French Tobacco (French Avenue, 2021) opens on cinnamon, nutmeg and spices, before a heart of tobacco, dried fruits and cypress and a base of vanilla, amber, cashmeran and labdanum. Warm, spicy, made for winter evenings and Ramadan nights. If you like the style, the three Ibraq tobaccos (extraits de parfum, 70 MAD a decant) are covered in our Ibraq guide.

Hersh Lahab (Alezz Oud, 2025) — lahab means "flame" — is the opposite of heavy: black pepper, vetiver and basil, then Timur pepper and grapefruit, over a patchouli base. Aromatic, green, peppery. Moderate longevity, unisex, and a genuine office scent.

Something different: a mist for your hair

Khisla Pink (Atyab Al Marshoud, a Kuwaiti house founded in 1925) isn't a skin fragrance but a hair mist: raspberry, jasmine, then patchouli and oud. In the Gulf, scenting your hair is part of the ritual, and a hair mist is formulated for exactly that. Decant at 100 MAD, bottle at 900 MAD — the priciest on this list, and the only one that doesn't replace your fragrance but goes with it.

Where to start

Our advice

Take three decants from three families: Hawas Ice for daytime, 9PM Night Out for evenings, and French Tobacco or Club de Nuit Intense depending on whether you lean spicy or fruity. Total: 210 to 220 MAD. Wear each for a week before buying a bottle — which will then cost you between 400 and 650 MAD.

All our fragrances are 100% authentic, decants taken from original bottles, with cash on delivery anywhere in Morocco. If you're unsure about who to buy from, our guide to buying decants lists what to check. And to look beyond this list, browse the full catalogue or let our matchmaking tool choose for you.
